If you suffer from morning sickness, feel nauseous or have a hard time “staying regular” during pregnancy this blend will be your saviour, keep it in your purse at all times, even sniffing it from the bottle can help calm your stomach and the nauseous feelings as well as heartburn. You can also dilute with fractionated coconut oil and apply topically to your wrists and stomach. So fast acting, natural and works brilliantly (it is a blend of Ginger Rhizome/Root, Peppermint Plant, Caraway Seed, Coriander Seed, Anise Seed, Tarragon Plant, and Fennel Seed essential oils).

Pregnancy can be an interesting time with your moods and hormones flying around, use this blend daily to help with anxious feelings, staying grounded, connected and calm. Apply to the soles of your feet morning and night and to your wrists, back of neck as needed, you can also just sniff it straight from the bottle and use it aromatically to help support you emotionally. Lavender is all things calming, also a great one to massage onto sore, swollen legs. If you have trouble sleeping at night pop a drop or two on your pillow and/or massage the soles of your feet with lavender in a carrier oil. Great with Balance layered underneath it. If things get a bit tense whip out the lavender! A great one to have when baby comes along too, all things calming and soothing and our most popular oil by far.
FRACTIONATED COCONUT OIL
A safe carrier oil to use when diluting and using your essential oils topically.
There are differing opinions regarding essential oil use and safety during pregnancy as well as nursing. It is common to find warnings everywhere about which oils one should and should not use during pregnancy. The most commonly expressed concern is over the topical and internal use of essential oils.
When using essential oils that are laden with impurities there is a legitimate threat posed to a developing fetus. However if the user has ensured they are only using pure, unadulterated essential oils (the reason I only use and recommend doTERRA because of their third party testing of EVERY batch and stringent testing methods), many of those concerns become unwarranted. It is recommended a pregnancy woman be under the care of a physician and/or midwife and consult with them prior to taking/using new products to take into account their individual circumstances.
WARNING: The only oil I would never, ever use during pregnancy, particularly in the first trimester but throughout pregnancy until such time as I am due/overdue is Clary Sage or blends such as Solace/Clary Calm which contain Clary Sage. It can bring on and support labor so save it for that time. The use of peppermint essential oil can limit milk production in some women so best avoided towards the very end of pregnancy and when you give birth and your milk is coming in. Unless you have a massive case of oversupply. Then it can be quite handy!!
Always dilute properly with a carrier oil when using topically, err on the side of caution and choose aromatic use where appropriate. Consult with a healthcare practitioner.
